Acoustic Design for Buses, Prévost Car 2002-2003
Improved sound quality in buses :
- Acoustic measurements
- Improvement of the articulation index
Reduced interior noise :
- Acoustic measurements
- Acoustical design of the mechanical system

Design of a Noiseless Jet Ski
Soft dB’s specialists took part in the dSEABelŪ research project, which aimed to design a noiseless jet ski. Realized in collaboration with the GAUS and Bombardier Recreational Products,
this project achived:
- The quantification of the main noise sources and the transfer of the vibro-acoustic paths of the jet skis
- The design and implementation of innovative solutions for jet skis
(dSEABelŪ system, US Patent 6,019,648, Feb. 1, 2000, Noise Reduction System)
- The marketing by Bombardier of the quietest jet ski in the world, equipped with dSEABelŪ technology
Development of an Anti-Vibratile Drill Handle
Rémy Oddo, Soft dB’s specialist in vibration,
was in charge of this new anti-vibratile technology adapted for percussion drills.
- The first tests, carried out in the summer of 2002, confirmed a reduction in vibration in the range
of harmful frequencies by nearly 50% (ISO 5349)
- The technological transfer phase with a drill manufacturer is now in progress
- This project is financed by the IRSST and realized in collaboration with the GAUS and LMSM/CANMET
