Presenting a Research Paper at Noise-Con 2017
Soft dB is an active member of the acoustic scientific community and is proud to make a contribution by presenting a paper at Noise-Con 2017.
The title of the paper is “Adaptive Volume Control for Sound Masking“. The aim of the paper is to show how the real-time analysis of the sound level distribution in the open plan office environment can be used to efficiently adapt and control the volume of the masking sound. In particular, a number of analyses based on real life sound masking installations were performed to determine optimal acoustic comfort and privacy.
Roderick Mackenzie, PhD., is a senior acoustical consultant at Soft dB and will be presenting the paper on Tuesday morning, June 13th, 2017 at the Sound Masking technical session. Along with Roderick, the authors are André L’Espérance, PhD., Alex Boudreau, PhD., Louis-Alexis Boudreault, P. Eng. and François Gariépy, P. Eng. and are all part of the Soft dB team.
Noise-Con will be held from June 12 to 14, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. For more information please visit Noise-Con 2017 website.
